Blackberry Jalapeño Margarita
I’m a huge margarita fan! So I always love playing around with different ingredients to make the perfect margarita concoction. That’s where this idea came from. This blackberry jalapeño marg is seriously delicious! I would recommend you try it if you are into sweet and spicy drinks.
I think this will be our go to summer drink because it s not overly sweet. It is sweet, but not too sweet because of the spice from the jalapeños. It is also extremely refreshing. When your sipping on this specialty cocktail, you’re going to want to be by a pool.
I’ve found that jalapeños compliment almost every margarita flavor. If you’re not a blackberry fan, I recommend substituting them with watermelon, pineapple, or grapefruit! I hope you enjoy this spiced up marg as much as I do.

Place all the ingredients for the simple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk and let simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat to let cool.
Once cool, remove 6 slices of jalapeño for garnish then pour the rest of the simple syrup into a blender along with 1 cup of blackberries. Puree for about 1 minute until everything is completely combine. Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a cocktail shaker.
Fill a cocktail shaker with the blackberry mixture, lime juice, and tequilla along with ice cubes. Cover and shake. Strain mixture into chilled glasses and garnish with blackberries, candied jalapeños, and lime.
