Grapefruit and Honey Spritzer
What exactly is summer in a glass? Summer in a glass is something that is light, crisp, and fresh. That being said - if you enjoy a refreshingly light cocktail, with pops of delicious citrus flavor, you may have just found your go to summer cocktail. The sweet taste of honey and the aroma of the rosemary make for an extra special treat.
Ingredients:
6 ounces grapefruit juice (5 grapefruit)
3 ounces Titos vodka
3 tablespoon rosemary and honey simple syrup (recipe to follow)
club soda
crushed ice
pinch sea salt
grapefruit and fresh rosemary for garnish (optional)
Combine grapefruit juice, vodka, and rosemary-honey simple syrup. Fill two glasses with ice and distribute the mixture between the glasses. Top with club soda and a pinch of sea salt. Garnish with fresh rosemary and a grapefruit.
Recipe for Simple Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup honey
4 to 5 sprigs fresh rosemary
Combine the water and honey in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and add in the rosemary. Continue to simmer until slightly thickened, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool. Strain out the rosemary and discard before use. Store leftover in the refrigerator.
