Holiday Bedroom Decor

Christmas decorations are not just for outside and your living room! You should continue the holiday cheer into your bedroom. It is so awesome walking into a cozy and cheerful place to relax. I will let you know how I transformed my bedroom with a few simple pieces.

It does not take much to recreate this holiday styled bedroom. As you have seen in my previous master bedroom post, we have a white base duvet cover so we can easily add new duvet covers the the foot of our bed. I purchased this duvet cover from Pottery Barn. Although it was not on sale when I bought it, the day after Christmas you can purchase the same one for nearly half the price! You will be able to find the best deals on all holiday decor right after Christmas, so make sure you check out your favorite shops for great discounts.

I also purchased the All Is Bright and All Is Calm pillow covers at Pottery barn, and they were very reasonably priced. The awesome tasseled blanket is from target and I only paid $30.00 for it. These throw blankets are very in right now, so they can be a little pricey.

To make our room even more festive looking, I used red ribbon to tie up our pillows to make them look like presents. There are so many creative things you can do with pillows to really make your room stand out. Our friends that have come over to see the house, love these pillows so much!

Garland is a fun addition to add to your bed frame to create a fabulous Christmas look. We took some of our extra garland and twisted in snow flake lights (that we purchased from target-$5.00). These snowflake lights are so great because we can cut all of our lights off in our room and have these precious snowflakes sparkling. We also twisted in some white garland to add a pop to the green garland.

This was one of my favorite places we decorated for the holidays. I really wish I could keep it up year round, but there's always next year to look forward to.
